Description from the seller
Beautiful piece by Eleonora Stol. The colors are so vivid and leap off the canvas. It is mixed media on canvas.
Shipping can be arranged after the auction
Eleonora's way of communicating is a sharp antithesis to our technologically impeccable world. Passion is the main theme of her work, which she develops with her vibrant colors, full of life and light. It is possible to read love letters in her paintings.
About Eleonora Stol, also known as 'La Roja'
'Let death play the violin with its cricket over the strings of gray roads in the roaring wind. I transform the cold wind into Spanish fans.
A wink to the white doves to lend their cheerful feathers to adorn the skin of my sly nymphs.
From time to time I marvel with my delicate charcoal along my contours and I travel with a butterfly on my walking stick, drawing a journey toward a deeper ultramarine feast.
There I bind red ribbons around cold granite to harden it, and then I listen as they breathe by singing.
I read you aloud, but without acronyms I paint with provocative arabesques, voluptuous clouds dancing in pink lingerie under a paper moon of invented candlelight where love dries on a Eau de Vie de Mirabelle on a clothesline at nipple height, punctuated by the loud claps of round knees.
With my pictorial eagerness I experience a restless world, with paint, liberal blobs of chalk color on astonished brushes balanced in my hand. I take the risk of slips, extravagant scratches and contours, smeared mascaras and the scars of sometimes the sadly crumpled canvas, but it is a scream, an explosion; I open my dream trunk and her pointer that directs blobs and chalks and the impossible strokes into my tuft of paint. As I hope, ending in beauty.
Here art theory makes no sense, with its confusing map of the soul that lays out souls. Art with a thick A does not belong on the cutting board of stylized gentlemen and frowning psychologists. With me the Sun and the Moon shine as accessories on voluptuous chandeliers hanging from a rainbow''
Viewing is of course possible. In addition we have our own in-house framing workshop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore we use restorers from the industry association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
