Description from the seller
Roger Nellens (1937–2021) was a Belgian self-taught artist, known for his realistic landscapes and seascapes, but especially for his imaginative “Imaginaire machines”: surreal, poetic depictions of machinery. He also created wall paintings and public artworks, such as a frieze in the Gribaumont metro station. In addition to being an artist, he was a collector and patron, drew international artists like Keith Haring to Knokke-Heist, and created sculptural projects on his estate together with artists such as Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely. His work combines technical skill, imagination and figuration, and has a lasting impact on the Belgian art scene.
Dimensions of work: 60 x 89 cm
Dimensions of work with frame: 63 x 92 cm
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year.
