Description from the seller
Overview
A very attractive Zenith Swiss pocket watch with a clean white enamel dial, bold black Arabic numerals and a classic subsidiary seconds layout. Paired with an old chain, it has the full charm of a traditional pocket watch set. The main highlight is the strong collector appeal created by the signed Zenith movement and the richly engraved cuvette with technical claims and award inscriptions.
Technical details and condition
Mechanical open-face pocket watch with a white enamel dial, black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and elegant gilt-toned period hands. The dial is signed ZENITH.
The movement is signed ZENITH and numbered 1934504. The cuvette is engraved with GRAND PRIX PARIS 1900, MÉDAILLE D’OR GENÈVE 1896, ANCRE, LEVÉES VISIBLES DOUBLE PLATEAU, 16 RUBIS, BALANCIER COMPENSÉ, SPIRAL BREGUET and CHATONS. The inner case back also shows silver marks and the number 1488.
Diameter approx. 51.74 mm. Weight approx. 94.6 g.
The watch is running normally, but it has not been tested over a long period.
The watch shows honest age and use. The dial remains attractive overall, with light hairlines and minor age-related traces. The case has general wear, fine scratches and age marks. The back cover features a blank shield-shaped cartouche over a finely engine-turned ground. An old chain is included and matches the watch well.
