Description from the seller
Overview
A charming vintage Orion pocket watch with a clean white dial, black Arabic numerals and a classic subsidiary seconds layout at 6 o’clock. It has a restrained and elegant look, while the real collector appeal comes from the richly engraved Orion cuvette with award and precision inscriptions. The included old chain gives the set an even more complete period feel.
Technical details and condition
Mechanical open-face pocket watch with a white dial, black Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and slender period-style hands. The dial is signed Orion.
The inner case back is stamped 0.800 and carries several marks together with the number 120764. The cuvette is engraved with GRAND PRIX BERNE 1914, ORION and MONTRE ANCRE DE PRÉCISION, accompanied by medal motifs that add strong period character and brand identity. The movement has a gilt-toned finish and an orderly traditional layout.
Diameter approx. 50.57 mm. Weight approx. 87.28 g.
The watch is running normally, but it has not been tested over a long period.
