Description from the seller
Broer Dobbelsteen was a versatile Brabantian artist who made his name mainly with his colorful and expressive paintings. Although he was originally trained as a designer at the academy in Eindhoven, he changed course in 1964 to devote himself entirely to free art. His work, which often centers on human figures and abstract forms, stands out for its lively use of color and a very distinctive, recognizable hand. Until his death in 2019, he remained a striking figure in the Geldrop region, where he spent years building an oeuvre that is still frequently found with collectors and at art auctions.
Dimensions of the work: 48 x 67 cm
Dimensions of the work with frame: 72 x 89 cm
Viewing is of course possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to take advantage of this, we would be pleased to hear from you.
