Decoration: Millefleur, finely painted with chrysanthemums, peonies and other flowers, interwoven with lots of gold.

Edge form: Slightly flared, typical for higher-quality Satsuma bowls.

Base mark: Red rectangular mark with Japanese characters, above the well-known circle symbol (Japan Export mark). The character reads 薩摩 (Satsuma).

Craquelure: Fine network cracks in the glaze are typical and desirable in genuine Satsuma ceramics.

Display cabinet item, no chips, very good condition.

Weight: 600 grams
