China Rugs look back on a centuries-long tradition and are among the most important handicrafts of East Asia. They combine intricate patterns, high-quality materials, and deep cultural symbolism into unique carpets that are valued both as floor coverings and as wall decorations.

Origin and History
The history of Chinese carpet weaving goes back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). Particularly in western China, for example in the Ningxia region or later in Beijing, intricate carpets were created, often for the imperial court. From the 19th century, China Rugs gained increasing international significance and were exported to Europe and America.
