Portrait titled Mujer Luminosa by Ana Sánchez Ramírez, an original contemporary oil on canvas with black, brown and orange multicolour accents, featuring relief textiles and lights operated by a small button, dimensions 81 cm by 65 cm, signed by hand and dated 2024, created in España and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
I am Ana Sanchez, Spanish (from Andalusia), born in 1987.
Since I was a child, art has been my means of expression and, although I studied Business Sciences and always had an office job, the pandemic made me reconsider my future and happiness. That’s why I decided to dedicate myself to art, which is what I’m really passionate about.
My art seeks to celebrate the identity and diversity of women around the world, highlighting the depth of their gazes, the beauty of wrinkles, the different skin types, cultures, styles, in short, female empowerment.
I work with oil on canvas, integrating relief textures using fabrics, necklaces, and earrings, creating pieces full of color and strength that offer the audience an original and unique visual experience.
Exhibitions:
Solo exhibition at Hopper (Madrid)
Solo exhibition at Centro Sociocultural El Greco (Madrid)
Group exhibition at Espacio Cultural Abierto (Madrid)
Group exhibition at Bardo Café
The title of the work is Mujer Luminosa and it aims to give visibility to the woman’s own light. Even if they are covered, hidden, silenced, forgotten... all of them shine with a unique light that they must always keep burning.
Painted in 2024
Technique: oil on canvas with black fabric sewn onto the canvas and light elements in relief (these have a small button on the back to turn them on or off).
Additionally, my painting comes to life and, through a QR code, it is she who explains what it represents.
Dimensions (cm): 81 x 65
