Description from the seller
Mc Tiffany's Diamond Cone by XTC.
A détournement of a McDonald's cone, the intersection of luxury and mass consumption.
It's not a cardboard McDonald's cone; everything was made from plastic materials and painted by XTC, plastic diamonds.
The glass dome is an integral part of the work.
Signed and numbered out of 15 below, Certificate of Authenticity (COA) provided.
(The copy sent is not necessarily the one shown in the photo.)
Careful packaging and trackable shipping.
Born in 1978 in central France, XTC shaped his artistic universe through his interest in Design, Pop Art, and more recently Street Art. This visual exploration evolved into a passion that was to be realized.
XTC defines himself as a self-taught visual artist, aligning with the Pop Art movement, through the subversion/appropriation of contemporary consumer goods.
His creativity is expressed through the bold staging of icons of popular consumption, which he makes clash with the world of luxury and Street Art, further blurring the already tenuous boundaries between these worlds.
He expresses his art through sculpture, blending painting with all kinds of plastics and sometimes minerals.
All possible defects or imperfections are an integral part of the work.
