Colorful, detailed and with unmistakable humor, Charles Fazzino presents in “Strolling P-Town” a lively street scene from Provincetown (Cape Cod). Typical of Fazzino’s iconic 3D pop art, numerous image elements protrude plastically, giving the work an extraordinary sense of depth.
What can be seen is a charming coastal town with its characteristic buildings, cafés, delicatessen shops and restaurants such as “Lobster Pot”, “Bubala’s” or “Front Street Rest”. In the background a lighthouse and a church tower rise while boats rock in the harbor. The scene is brought to life by pedestrians, dogs and colorful bunting. Glittering accents emphasize roofs, flags and clouds, enhancing the three-dimensional effect.
The work combines Fazzino’s characteristic architectural exaggeration with humorous details and a summery, light atmosphere. The multilayer hand-assembly and the intense colors make each copy a vivid eye-catcher.
