Description from the seller
MiLo – “Singularity”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
In Singularity, a dense black form occupies the center of an explosive field of gestural white marks. The composition suggests a point of absorption or emergence—where surrounding energy is either drawn inward or forced outward.
The contrast between the solid, silent center and the dynamic movement around it creates a tension between presence and disappearance. The central form reads as an object, yet remains elusive, as if it exists beyond the surface itself.
Through layered gestures and sharp contrasts, the work evokes the idea of a threshold—where structure dissolves and meaning shifts.
The painting can be displayed in both horizontal and vertical orientation, offering different visual interpretations.
The artwork will be carefully rolled and securely shipped in a sturdy cardboard box or protective shipping tube.
