AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Original Namco Puck Man PCB (1980) – Converted to Ms. Pac-Man – 100% Working – with Original Manual – No Bootleg

Description

Offered: a 100% original Namco Puck Man PCB from around 1980, professionally converted to Ms. Pac-Man, including the original manual and schematics.

This concerns the original Japanese Puck Man platform – the foundation of the world-famous Pac-Man – and thus one of the most iconic arcade PCBs ever produced.

The board has been recently tested and is fully operational, with correct video output and gameplay (see photos).

History

Puck Man was released in 1980 by Namco in Japan and grew internationally into Pac-Man, one of the biggest arcade successes of all time.

In 1981 Ms. Pac-Man appeared, originally developed in the United States and later officially released. This version brought improved gameplay, varying mazes, and became even more popular than the original.

In the 1980s, many original Puck Man / Pac-Man boards were converted to Ms. Pac-Man so operators could capitalize on the high demand. This conversion is therefore historically accurate and typical of the arcade era.
