Description from the seller

Artist: Esther Beil (1975), Dutch
Title: The Purple
Edition: 1/10
Dimensions: The total size including the white border is 50x70 cm.
Other information: The artwork is delivered without a frame

Description:
A fan of purple leaves fades into a soft eruption of color. Hues of pink, silver, and deep purple form a quiet, spinning glow.
The image gains its depth and dynamism by imparting movement through the lens.

The name of the work is a simple reference to the color palette and is part of a series of similar works.

Printing process:
Fine art giclée print on Hahnemühle William Turner paper. The paper has a pronounced watercolor texture, which makes the blending colors come out beautifully. The paper is made of 100% cotton, fully acid-free and OBA-free.

About the artist:
The artist aims in her abstract photography for abstraction and a certain simplicity. Dynamics and stillness are both recurring themes, also in this series of works.
The artist continually seeks the essence in her experimental approach: what remains if you remove everything except form, rhythm, light/dark, and color.
