Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Vanishing Point fountain pen from Japan with a red lacquered plastic body, gold‑plated metal trim, 14K gold nib, retractable mechanism working, length 141 mm and diameter 13 mm, dating from 2000–2010, in used good condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
A0000003463
The pen is in excellent overall condition, showing evident care and very moderate use.
The lacquered body in bright red maintains a uniform finish, deep and with a high level of shine. No dents, cracks, or loss of lacquer are observed. At first glance only very light surface micro-scratches can be observed, typical of careful handling and practically imperceptible at normal usage distance.
The gold-plated metal elements — clip, cap button, central ring and front section — show intense, homogeneous shine. No plating loss or significant wear is observed. Only extremely light superficial marks can be seen under direct light, normal on a used piece, but without affecting its aesthetics at all.
The retractable mechanism works correctly: the button operates firmly and precisely, with secure closure and proper alignment. The inner shutter seals the nib correctly.
The 14K gold nib is in very good condition, with no deformations or visible alterations. The tines are properly aligned and the tip preserves its original geometry. No structural damage is observed.
No personalization or engravings.
Overall, it is a very well-preserved specimen, with minimal and normal signs of use, ideal both for collection and for demanding daily use.
