Description from the seller
Artist: Albert Clotet (me)
Location and date: Madrid, 2025
Size: 120 × 95 cm
Technique: Non-figurative painting on lightweight wood, without a frame or stretcher. Mixed media.
Trajectory: I am an architect; I have participated in the painting exhibition Sanvisens and sculpture Pere Jou 2023, Sitges, Barcelona.
Artistic approach: I work from a sensibility close to the non-finite, where the image remains open and in progress, not a completely closed form. I am interested in the relationship between construction and erasure: layers that overlap, are corrected, and leave visible traces of the process. Through the simplification of form and the use of emptiness, I seek to balance the structure without fixing it entirely. My references are Cy Twombly and Antoni Tàpies. I approach the composition from a certain imbalance, where the image never fully stabilizes and stays in an intermediate state between appearance and disappearance.
