Mariia Lukan - Sainte Catherine – Composition iconographique

The composition depicts Saint Catherine at the center, surrounded by different symbolic scenes from her life and martyrdom, arranged in a circular structure reminiscent of stained glass and ancient manuscripts.

The artist offers a personal interpretation with a marked graphical style, warm colors and a strong decorative dimension. The symbolic elements, such as the crown, the wheel and the angelic figures, enrich the narrative reading of the work.

This unique piece reflects a contemporary artistic sensibility while remaining rooted in an iconographic tradition.

The artist has undergone formal academic art training in Ukraine and currently lives in France, where she continues her work.
