Description from the seller
BODEGÓN TROPICAL is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. This work is an explosion of color and rhythm where the decorative and the everyday intertwine in a vibrant and luminous scene. The composition is built from intense planes —reds, blues and yellows— that do not aim to imitate reality, but to reinvent it from an emotional and festive logic.
The red table acts as the central axis, holding a set of fruits that evoke abundance and sensuality: dark grapes, curved bananas, and bright citrus. Beside them, the polka-dot vase introduces a playful, almost childish character that dialogues with flowers of simple shapes and flat colors, recalling the graphic language of folk art. The background, structured in blocks of color and undulating patterns, adds a nearly textile dimension to the work. The sinuous lines and chromatic contrasts generate a constant movement, as if the space were vibrating. There is no traditional depth: everything happens on the surface, in a balance between figure and ornament.
The lower plane, with the fruit plate and scattered flowers, extends the scene toward the viewer, integrating them into this visual universe where each element seems carefully placed to celebrate domestic life with joy and intensity.
BODEGÓN TROPICAL is a contemporary reinterpretation of the classical still life, where color becomes the absolute protagonist and painting a direct, vital, and energetic language.
