Description from the seller
Bruno Paolo Benedetti, born in 1954, began taking photographs in 1968, studying perspective and photo techniques. From the beginning he was concerned with black and white photography, observing the contrasts of nature, the lights and interpreting the reality around him. When he was 25 he began to work in the darkroom, enhancing his technique using filters, high-contrast films for making his first pictures of surreal and abstract photography. At the same time he began journeying around Europe and the world: India, Nepal, Bhutan, Southern America, South Africa, Egypt, Comoros islands are some of the most visited places. The study of the religions, the mysticism in all of them, inspired his artistic production, especially his surreal photography, where cultural and religious archetypes are depicted.

Light and Shade
“Light and Shade” explores the delicate tension between luminosity and darkness through a fluid, abstract composition. Soft, organic forms dissolve into one another, where pale tones and warm golden accents emerge from deeper shadows, creating a sense of depth and quiet movement. The work invites contemplation on contrast, perception, and the subtle balance between opposing forces. Issued as number 1 in a limited edition of 30, this 40 × 40 cm print embodies a refined and atmospheric visual language.
Exhibitions:
Venezia misteriosa, Venice, November 2015
Internazionale Italia Arte, MITT Turin, May 2013
Cinema Farnese Rome, June-July 2012
Cinema Farnese, Rome, May-September 2013
