Biography:
Daniela Scanu, born in the city of Brescia in 1976, from a young age she displayed a marked creative aptitude, which led her to studies in fashion and drawing. She attended the IPSIA Fortuny Institute in Brescia, earning a diploma as a fashion designer and costume designer.
Subsequently, she did not continue in the fashion sector, but pursued sports studies, which allowed her to become an international judge of pole sport and a sports instructor.
She taught for several years at sports centers and dance schools:
Pole sport, aerial hoop, yoga, Caribbean dances, oriental dances, ballroom dancing, yoga.
Thanks to her great tenacity and determination she achieved excellent results as an international athlete.
Among the most notable we recall:
– 1st place in Tortosa, Spain at the "WSG 2019",
– 2nd place in Finland at the "Championship 2019".
But her true vocation remains the art of photography, that quiet love which, thanks to dance and sport, she continues to cultivate, delving specifically into artistic nude, portraiture, conceptual photography.
The photographic world of Daniela Scanu is able to astonish and enchant the viewer; her particular sensitivity and powerful expressive sense reach a strong convergence between artistic photography and painting and sculpture.
The ability to translate a body into universal iconographies through which travel emotions and personal introspection.
The human body becomes the vehicle for transporting the soul, an expression of pain, but also of great inner rebirth.
