INFO
Invader's Camouflage presents 21 unique editions of screenprints on Somerset Satin Cotton, framed by an aluminum frame, distributed across five formats. Initiated in 2023, the Camouflage series shows the famous Space Invader figure by the artist hidden among camouflage motifs.
In the Camouflage editions, the Space Invader motif is concealed through clever color and composition choices. Sometimes clearly visible, other times the form is obscured by a dark, almost monochrome color, or by a motif evoking Space Invader, making the figure disappear into the surrounding composition.
Speaking about the use of camouflage in his work, Invader says: “Ultimately, my work revolves around the concept of camouflage. I spend my time hiding my mosaics in the urban fabric. I blend into the landscape. I have therefore adopted the military camouflage aesthetic by hiding the invaders in the pattern.”
