Biography of painter Nguyen Robert, born 1958.

Born in 1958 in Ben Tre, an authentic village nestled in the heart of the Mekong Delta, Nguyen Robert is a Franco-Vietnamese artist whose work is distinguished by a singular fusion of Asian traditions with Western artistic influences.
From an early age, he was fascinated by the rural architecture of his environment, the lines of traditional houses, the volumes of floating markets, the shadows cast by water palms — all elements that would form the basis of his visual language.

Based in his native region throughout his life, Nguyen Robert has, over decades, developed a deeply contemporary, modern and resolutely architectural style.
His paintings explore structures, lines, urban rhythms and geometric abstraction, while retaining a poetic sensibility native to Vietnamese culture.

His dual heritage, Franco-Vietnamese, enriches his approach: he borrows from the West the rigor of modern compositions and the boldness of contrasts, while his Vietnamese soul injects gentleness, spirituality and fluidity into his works.
The result is a pictorial universe where modernity meets timelessness, where geometry dialogues with light, creating works of great visual power.

Known for his ability to transform everyday life into abstract landscapes, Nguyen Robert is today regarded as one of the singular voices of contemporary painting in the Mekong Delta.
He continues his work at his studio in Ben Tre, surrounded by the landscapes that shaped his identity, and continues to exhibit in several galleries in Asia and Europe, captivating collectors and art lovers seeking deeply modern, structured and vibrant works.
