Description from the seller

The work created by the renowned Italian artist Sandro Chia is titled "Mistero".

Title: Mistero.
Data di realizzazione: There are several editions of this subject, dated between about 1990 and 2003.
The exact year can vary depending on the edition.
Technique: It is an etching and aquatint on paper (350 g Hahnemühle paper).
Subject: Typical of Chia's Transavant-garde style, the piece depicts a monumental nude figure in a dynamic pose against a vibrant yellow background, with a small stylized figure (resembling a dog) in red in the lower left.

These specks along the edge are called foxing (or bloom).
It is a form of oxidation or micro-fungi that affect old or fine paper (such as the Hahnemühle used by Chia) when exposed to humidity or frames with untreated wooden backs.
The damage is not catastrophic and, fortunately, is confined to the sides of the work.

Aesthetic solution: mount a passe-partout to cover the damaged margins. The work will look perfect to the eye, even if for an expert collector the defect will remain "under" the card.
