Description from the seller
- Passage -
70 x 50 cm (27,5 x 19,7 in.)
Acrylic hand-painted monotype on canvas board
Year: 2026
An original one-of-a-kind abstract monotype finished with a brush that can make a perfect addition to contemporary interior.
★ A monotype is a unique print, typically painterly in effect, made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass, or plastic and then transferring it to paper, either manually or by using a press.
Monotype has its own unique form of expression and certain types of marks and imagery can only be achieved using the monotype process. Monotype is the most painterly method among the printmaking techniques and is often called “the painterly print” or the “printer’s painting.”
⟡ Wilgard Daris [El Camino], an aspiring contemporary abstract artist of Dutch origin.
Alma mater ~ Cornish College of the Arts.
Major influences ~ Mark Rothko, Pier Mondrian, Paul Klee and Frank Stella.
Signed and shipped securely unframed by the insured priority parcel service.
