Description from the seller
MiLo – “Emerging Form”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
In Emerging Form, a bold, constructed shape appears against a textured, off-white surface. Defined by strong black lines, the composition suggests something recognizable—almost a figure or face—without fully resolving.
The balance between structure and raw surface creates a sense of tension and openness. Depending on orientation, the work shifts in character, allowing different interpretations to emerge over time.
The artwork can be displayed in both vertical and horizontal orientation.
The artwork will be carefully rolled and securely shipped in a sturdy cardboard box or protective shipping tube.
About the Artist
MiLo (1976) is an Amsterdam-based contemporary artist with a background in photography and visual arts. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive abstract style characterized by layered surfaces, gestural marks and a strong sense of rhythm and structure.
His work has been collected internationally, with original paintings sold across Europe, the United States and Asia. With over 800 works placed in private collections, MiLo has built a consistent and recognizable body of work.
Influenced by action painting and urban textures, his process combines intuitive movement with more controlled interventions. This results in compositions that often evoke fragments of architecture, coded systems and eroded surfaces.
