Rafa López presents Bart Pixonaje, an original mixed‑media artwork (acrylic and marker) on a 25×25 cm canvas from Spain, signed by hand, with a certificate of authenticity and delivered on a stretched frame.
Description from the seller
In "Bart Pixonaje", Rafa López explores the intersection between contemporary popular culture and figurative abstraction. Through this portrait of an animation icon, the artist reinterprets the everyday through a vibrant and chaotic lens, turning a familiar image into a visual experience rich in textures and energy.
Analysis of the work:
The piece is an excellent example of Pop Surrealism, where Bart's central figure dissolves and merges with a dynamic environment. The work does not seek faithful representation, but an emotional and expressive capture of the character, surrounded by a visual language that recalls graffiti and underground comics.
Technically, the work stands out for its material complexity in an intimate 25x25 cm format. Rafa López employs a mixed technique combining acrylic and marker to define the lines of force and gestural details. The color contrasts and the layering create a depth that invites the viewer to discover new nuances with every glance, maintaining the vividness characteristic of his more recent production.
Logistics and shipping:
The work is delivered with a stretched canvas.
It is wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a cardboard box.
The canvas features additional painted margins that allow the image to continue onto the sides of the frame after mounting, ensuring an impeccable aesthetic presentation.
Hand-signed on the lower left edge and on the back. Includes the artist's certificate of authenticity.
