David Andersen (1843–1901) was a renowned Norwegian goldsmith and silversmith who founded a workshop in Oslo in 1876, specializing in high-quality jewelry and silverware. His company gained international acclaim, winning two gold medals at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. After his death, at the very young age of 58, his son, Arthur David-Andersen, continued the legacy, introducing enamel work and the Art Nouveau style, ensuring the company's prominence in Norwegian craftsmanship.
