Pair of Prunkvasen with Gold Enamel Decoration
General information
• Manufacturer: Attributed to Moser, Karlsbad (Ludwig Moser & Söhne).
• Origin: Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic).
• Period: Historicism / Late 19th century (around 1880/1890).
• Material: Crystal glass, visually blown; rich gold ornamentation and enamel painting.
• Condition: Very well preserved. The gold painting is minimally rubbed with age, which emphasizes the antique character. No cracks or chips identifiable.

• Height: 20.5 cm
• Diameter at top (opening): 7.5 cm; Diameter middle: 9 cm.
• Diameter at bottom (base): 6.8 cm
Design details
This pair of elegant vases captivates with its classic baluster form and an optically ribbed glass structure, which creates a special light refraction. A particular highlight is the wave-shaped Rocaille mouth rim (so-called crimped edge), which is elaborately gilded.
The decoration is in the Neo-Rococo style:
• Central motif features splendid golden cartouches made of fine scrollwork and foliate motifs.
• Delicate, intricately executed floral garlands and scattered flowers are integrated into the ornaments in raised gold enamel technique.
• The combination of clear glass and the rich gold tone gives the objects a timeless elegance.
