Antique Liberty barber and shoe-polish footstool dating to 1940–1950, made of solid wood with a leather covering, measuring 60 cm deep by 30 cm high by 30 cm wide, in good used condition with minor signs of age and spots.

For sale is a rare and fascinating vintage professional footrest/stool, originally used in old barbershops or shoe shine stations. A piece of Italian craftsmanship history from the early 1900s, fully in Liberty style.
Notable features:
Brass Inlays: The wooden frame is enriched with splendid brass sheet inlays with floral motifs typical of Art Nouveau, visible on the handles and upper sides.
Capitonné Upholstery: Double padded seat with button tufting on both sides (front and back), a hallmark of the era's high craftsmanship.
Condition of the item (Full transparency):
The stool is structurally solid and shows a beautiful patina of age. Being over 100 years old, the following details are noted:
Upholstery: Original burgundy color. Some buttons are missing from the seat and there is a small tear in the faux leather on the rear/vertical side (as shown in the photo).
Base: One of the four feet is missing the protective brass strip.
Technical detail: At the bottom there are bolts/nuts probably replaced over time for maintenance.
