Description from the seller

Hello again. The Hans Kreul clarinet with Boehm system is a less common variant from this German manufacturer, traditionally specialized in German systems (Oehler) and Albert systems. Here I detail its main characteristics:

Made in Tübingen, Germany by Hans Kreul's workshop, a brand historically renowned for its high artisanal quality in precious woods.
Generally built in grenadilla wood (African blackwood), which gives it a rich and professional sound.
Although the brand is famous for its German-system clarinets, there are Boehm (French system) models produced mainly between the 1950s and 1980s.
These usually have the standard 17 keys and 6 rings, though there are special versions with additional mechanisms such as the forked Eb/Bb key.
It combines the ergonomics and fingering of the Boehm system with German manufacturing tradition, which often results in an instrument with precise intonation and a tone slightly darker than the standard French models.
On the market as of 2026, they are currently regarded as high-end vintage instruments.
They are valued by collectors and professionals seeking a distinctive sound with the ease of Boehm-system playing.
This one has been fully restored by a professional luthier and is like new, only a few minor scratches as seen in the close-up photos.
It is accompanied by a Vandoren mouthpiece from the same period, also vintage, which only shows wear from cleaning, with no tweaks or cracks, in perfect tip and rails condition, with a ligature and mouthpiece cap.
It comes in a leather shoulder-style case with an attached compartment, in very good closing condition and without marks.
All in all, a vintage luxury lot for those who want quality as they embark on the world of the clarinet, or for the virtuoso to delve into the wonderful world of this great eternal jewel of wood paired with authentic silver.
There you have it, good luck with the auction.
