The idea for this painting came to me while I was looking at Agnese, a friend of mine, staring in front of her mobile phone. She spent so much time looking at the phone that I decided to ask her if she wanted to pose for the project. I painted her as a modern Kali, holding in her hands as many mobile phones as she could. The picture that I used as a sample for the painting is the result of a Photoshop session. I worked on a MDF panel in order to obtain a very flat and lucid painting (reminding a mobile phone screen).

Agnese Kalì is an oil on panel 60x80cm. I would suggest having it framed, to prevent the panel from any possible damage.

Artist bio: Paolo Borile is a passionate Italian painter who has exhibited his work internationally. His primary focus is on expressing the nature of the human figure through realistic paintings. His style is figurative and expressive, occasionally photorealistic, and often recalls the classics. Each painting boasts a nostalgic quality and a narrative, sometimes with a surrealist touch, allowing each viewer to immerse themselves into every colour and architectural element with both recognition and imagination.
