Rare and highly collectible Scandinavian studio ceramic mug / decorative vessel designed and hand-signed by Signe Persson-Melin, one of Sweden’s most renowned ceramic designers.

Dated 1976, this elegant piece pays tribute to the Skåne region and features a finely hand-painted sepia landscape decoration with traditional rural motifs: farmhouse, trees, fields and a walking figure.

The handle is inscribed with the poetic Swedish phrase:
“Skåne är ett härligt land”
(Skåne is a wonderful land)
This inscription reinforces the regional and artistic identity of the piece.

The underside is clearly hand-signed and dated “Signe Persson 1976”, confirming authenticity and workshop origin.
