Crystal ginger jar – cut crystal, Northern Europe, ca. 1870 - 35 cm
An impressive crystal ginger jar, made of cut crystal, originating from Northern Europe and dating to circa 1870. This large example stands out with its elegant form and richly detailed facets, typical of high-quality glass production from the 19th century.
The jar features refined facet and star cuts all around, which refract light beautifully and create a lively play of sparkle and reflection. The balanced proportions and generous size give the piece a stately and luxurious appearance.
Such ginger jars were originally used for storing precious items but are nowadays especially loved as decorative objects and collectibles within the world of antique crystal and glassware.
