Attracted to figurative art, I continue a personal journey toward deeper study of the female figure, in constant search of a new artistic expression.
This work is handmade using the collage technique, a material-based artistic technique that unites textures, colors and different motifs by gluing fabric scraps (jacquard, velvet, gabardine, jeans and jute) onto a base to create depth and texture. A modern mosaic that combines material and painting for a three-dimensional result.
The fabric collage allows exploration of artistic narration through tactile materials, elevating daily reality into a work of art.
These different fabric weaves create a symbolic link between cultures and peoples.
