Description from the seller

Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) (after)
Decorative Art Nouveau panel

Elegant vertical decorative panel, framed, with an Art Nouveau composition strongly inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha. The scene depicts a female figure in movement, wrapped in flowing drapes, framed by floral elements and the curved lines characteristic of the period, with a color palette rich in pastel tones, greens and ochres.

The image features a printed signature “mucha” in the lower corner, being an antique decorative reproduction, widely used in interiors in the early/mid-20th century. Wooden frame with a darkened finish and inner gilded frieze, suitable to the aesthetics of the piece.

Dimensions approximate (including frame):

Height: about 39 cm

Width: about 21 cm

(view measurements in the photographs with a tape measure)

Condition:
Good overall condition, consistent with age. Shows light signs of use and patina of time on the frame and the printed surface, without tears or significant losses. Glass present and intact.

Material:
Decorative print on rigid support
Wooden frame with gilded frieze

Notes:
Very appealing decorative piece for:

Classic or vintage environments
Art Nouveau decoration
Hotels, boutiques, salons or creative spaces
Collectors of Mucha / Belle Époque iconography

Seller's Story

I am passionate about art, antiques, and decorative objects with historical and aesthetic value. I carefully select unique pieces for auction, prioritizing those that stand out for their originality, quality, and history. I have a special affinity for antique mirrors inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha, acquired from private collections and antique shops in Portugal and France. I also place great importance on pieces made of carved wood, especially in gilded relief, which represent the refinement and craftsmanship of classical decorative arts.
