"Schoolgirl" is a unique original work by Dana Vasile, (b. 1980, living and working in Bucharest), acrylic on canvas 50 x 40 cm, hand signed on the back, with certificate of authenticity, in excellent condition (the texture is intentional), directly from the artist's studio in Bucharest. "Schoolgirl" is a memory of the artist's childhood after the communism fell, a fragmented and neutral toned figure reminiscent of the fragile youth. The work unfolds as a study of the past under tension, held together by restraint and silence.

Dana Vasile is a Romanian visual artist that studied at National University of Fine Arts in Bucharest, with an Erasmus scholarship at Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma. Over the past years she participated in exhibitions in Romania and Europe, including Madrid, Genoa and Balchik.
