Description from the seller
"Catch 'EM All – Side Effects" – Limited Edition (100 copies) - New Collection 2026
Edition number: 05/100
Artist: SKE
Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris
300 g fine art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
In this work, SKE reinterprets the cult universe of Pokémon and its innocent imagery. Gaston, true to himself, grabs Pikachu’s hand without thinking too much. Bad idea. Very bad idea.
Between lightning bolts, danger signs and messy gestures, the scene shifts into chaotic and humorous energy. The power is there, uncontrollable, and Gaston experiences it firsthand. The contrast between the character’s cuteness and the electric violence creates an immediate offbeat effect.
Urban line, projections, splashes and strong cultural references mark a dynamic, ironic and immediately readable piece.
Characteristics:
• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Printed on premium 300 g fine art paper
• ISO A3 format, easy to frame
• Each copy signed and numbered by SKE
• Comes with certificate of authenticity
• Protected shipping, reinforced packaging
“Catch 'EM All – Side Effects” is a vibrant and joyful piece, designed for collectors who love pop art, reimagined comics and works that tell a story.
A rare edition that will undoubtedly become a flagship element of your collection.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring the majority of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with double meanings, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at the Urban Master competition (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States and Asia, solidifying his place on the contemporary art scene. Concurrently, SKE is also making a mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the last two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics and tactile textures define a now-iconic style.
SKE is undeniably an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Cited & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work positions him in a prestigious lineage. His line merges the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they reimagine the classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes evokes Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol mingles with luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: one encounters sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to forget mass consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textures that recall the glossy finish of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal for enriching a collection or bringing a dynamic touch to your home.
