Description from the seller
Wayne Thiebaud (1920–2021) was an American painter celebrated for his vibrant depictions of everyday objects, particularly desserts, diners, and cityscapes. His signature use of thick, painterly brushstrokes and bold colors gave his works a unique, almost sculptural quality. While often associated with Pop Art, Thiebaud's focus on light, shadow, and texture set him apart. His market has remained robust, with strong institutional support and steady demand among collectors. Major works, especially his iconic food-themed paintings from the 1960s, have achieved record prices at auction, cementing his status as a blue-chip artist.
Excellent condition. Some minor deposits, only visible on reverse. Minute creasing along very edges due to print previously being rolled.
