PENNA VALLECCHI
THE LIMITED EDITION PEN 1917 UNITS.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
MATERIAL: 925 STERLING SILVER: drawn from a single piece of 925 silver
Nib: 18 Kt gold
Filling system: Converter
VALLECCHI, publishing house which celebrated in 2003 100 years of history, entrusted designer Ettore Sottsass with the creation of Stella, a limited edition pen, born to emphasize Vallecchi's style and thus the essence of 20th-century Italy. Stella is first and foremost a sculpture, for its refined beauty, but it is also an object with fabulous technical and functional qualities: the pedestal is in steel and wood and supports a transparent cylinder where the fountain pen is contained, with the nib in bi-color gold.
The Milan Triennale chose it to be part of the Permanent Collection of Italian Design.
Ettore Sottsass (Innsbruck, September 14, 1917 – Milan, December 31, 2007) was an Italian architect, designer and photographer.
"If something will save us, it will be beauty"
(Ettore Sottsass, Milan 2001)
