Description from the seller

This colorful plastic artwork was created by Jacqueline Bozon (born 1966, the Netherlands). She grew up in Helmond and now lives and works in The Hague.

Jacqueline Bozon's most recent series, Ibiza, of which this work is a part, originates from the eponymous Spanish island, a place where everyone can be themselves. Ibiza is a fascinating mix of diverse people: brightly dressed hippies, a turquoise sea with silver waves, white-beige beaches, majestic rocks, blue skies, the scent of oranges, olives and oleander, blazing sunsets and music.

All these elements she fuses into a colorful network of lines that invites you to travel. For Bozon, these lines embody the life paths: the roads you walk in life. “Every path is different,” just like every step you take. At the same time, the colors and lines also reflect the harmony of island life.

Over that, Bozon applies a layer of resin to intensify the colors and give the canvas the glossy look that Ibiza has for many people. But anyone who really wants to delve into the island's nature and culture must look through that gloss layer and penetrate to the heart of the island inhabitants. Because: “Only if you search, will you find!”

Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framers, who are celebrating their 85th anniversary. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, we would of course be happy to hear from you.
