Description from the seller
Roger Nellens (1937–2021) was a Belgian self-t taught artist, known for his realistic landscapes and seascapes, but above all for his imaginative “Imaginary machines”: surreal, poetic depictions of mechanics. He also made murals and public artworks, such as a frieze in the Gribaumont metro station. Besides being an artist, he was a collector and patron, attracting international artists such as Keith Haring to Knokke-Heist, and he co-created sculptural projects on his estate with artists like Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely. His work combines technique, fantasy and figuration, and has a lasting impact on the Belgian art scene.
Artwork dimensions: 60 x 89 cm
Dimensions with frame: 63 x 92 cm
Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition, we have our own in-house framing workshop, celebrating its 85th anniversary year. Furthermore, we make use of restorers from the professional association: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to make use of this, please let us know.
