Concept
“Expectation” shows the portrait of a young girl who apparently lingers in an invisible moment between time and movement. The figure is positioned in front of a house wall – a deliberately restrained, minimalist background that directs the focus entirely on the inner emotional state.
The light gray background creates a calm, slightly melancholic atmosphere. The space feels quiet and visually conveys a sense of pause – a state of waiting.
The girl's figure, dressed in a lemon-yellow dress, functions as the central light source of the composition. This color symbolically stands for hope, warmth, and inner energy. The contrast between the neutral gray surroundings and the bright dress creates a subtle tension – as if the figure is between calm and imminent change.
