Description from the seller
Adolfo Vázquez Burgos (Madrid, 1974) is a Spanish contemporary artist whose work is inscribed in the language of abstract expressionism, with a marked gestural and emotional charge. He currently resides in Cobeja (Toledo), where he develops a production focused on the exploration of matter, movement and the energy of the stroke. His work is characterized by an intuitive and direct execution, in which the gesture takes center stage as a vehicle of expression. Through intense chromatic contrasts and dynamic compositions, he builds a visual discourse that oscillates between technical control and spontaneity. He signs his works as “Vaz”, consolidating a recognizable and coherent artistic identity.
“Red Impact” – Art: Vaz is an original work made in acrylic on canvas (70 x 100 cm, 2 cm thick), dated April 4, 2026 and hand-signed on both the front and the back. The piece presents a strong expressive load, articulated around the contrast between vibrant red and deep black, on a base of whites and grays that provide compositional balance.
The work stands out for its gestural energy, with broad strokes, splashes and layers of paint that generate texture and depth. The red, applied with intensity, bursts into the composition evoking force, passion and dynamism, while the black acts as a visual structure that provides solidity and tension. This chromatic dialogue creates an impactful composition that guides the viewer's gaze through an intense and immersive visual journey.
The technique used reflects a physical and spontaneous pictorial process, where each stroke preserves the imprint of the gesture, turning the surface into a record of action and emotion. It is a unique, original work, ready to hang, ideal for contemporary art collectors or for spaces seeking a piece with character, visual strength and aesthetic presence.
