On the lakes and along the rivers of Myanmar, some fishermen continue to practice ancient methods handed down through generations. Balancing on small wooden boats, they row with one leg wrapped around the oar, leaving their hands free to drop nets or maneuver woven bamboo cones. These techniques, slow and precise, respect the rhythms of nature and tell of a deep bond between man and water.

A photographer for many years, I have been photographing landscapes of my homeland and the many journeys I have taken. I have exhibited in numerous exhibitions, both group and solo; in 2018 I won a prize at the Dubai HIPA with a portfolio of landscape photographs, and in 2021 I received an honorable mention at the MIFA in Moscow.
