Medsan, Digital Entanglement (デジタル・絡まり) – Hand Signed, a 40 × 40 cm giclée on wood-mounted panel from a limited edition (Edition 1) produced in 2026, signed by the artist in a Katakana cartouche (メドサン).
Description from the seller
With this square-format work, Medsan explores digital alienation through the prism of Japanese dramatic art. This print features an ukiyo-e theater actor, draped in a kimono with sumptuous motifs, captured in an expressive and taut pose.
The visual and intellectual shock lies in the interweaving of his body by multiple white charging cables. He is frozen in his action, one hand holding a glowing smartphone, while his other hand is also caught in the network of wires. The actor, bearer of a cultural tradition, becomes here the slave of a permanent connection, prisoner of his own digital thread.
The impact of the composition is magistrally highlighted by a deep, solid violet background, adorned with floating traditional clouds, which makes the contrast of the white cables and the kimono's golden motif stand out. The assertive line and the flatness of the colors scrupulously respect the codes of ukiyo-e prints, granting this figure a striking pop-art aesthetic and timeless fallen heroism. The traditional vertical cartouche at the top right, housing the artist's signature in katakana (メドサン), perfects the temporal illusion.
A conceptual piece, at once aesthetic and intellectual, ideal for bringing a pop, graphic touch and deeply reflective sensibility to a design-oriented, contemporary interior.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Installed as a true hub of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, realized and followed within the studio, with a common artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
