Medsan’s 40 × 60 cm Giclée on a wood-mounted support, titled Goldorak Waterfall (江戸グレンダイザーの滝), hand signed, edition of 1 in a limited edition from 2026, depicting a pop art fusion of Goldorak with a mountainous waterfall in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
With this portrait-format work (40 × 60 cm), Medsan orchestrates an epic, contemplative fusion between one of the most iconic symbols of 1970s anime culture and the Japanese landscape tradition. This giclée features a giant robot bearing unmistakable traits of Goldorak, standing impassively at the heart of a majestic mountain waterfall.
The visual impact of the composition lies in the masterful integration of this metal colossus within the raw forces of nature. The robot does not fight; it seems to engage in a form of meditation beneath the waterfall (takigyo), rooted like an ancient guardian. The torrents pour down and stream fluidly across its dark armor and imposing golden horns, creating a striking contrast between the indestructible machine and the constantly moving liquid element. The stylized foam at its base underscores the power of the current.
The impact of the composition is enhanced by a natural, muted color palette, dominated by slate blues, forest greens, and the dazzling white of the foaming water. The bold linework, the portrayal of rock, and the drawing of the windswept pines clinging to the cliffs scrupulously respect the codes of ukiyo-e prints, recalling the famous waterfalls by Hokusai. The traditional vertical cartouche at the top right, on a brick-red background, houses the artist’s signature in katakana (メドサン) and seals this temporal encounter.
A conceptual piece, at once aesthetic, nostalgic, and deeply soothing, ideal for adding a pop, geek, and majestic touch to a design-forward, contemporary interior.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true hub of artistic production, the atelier operates both through collective creation and individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work influenced by cinema and realism. Alongside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive path, blending abstract art, art brut, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the atelier, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
