Massimiliano Muner - LIE

Massimiliano Muner (Trieste, 1984) is a photographer, curator and artistic director. His research focuses on analog photography and, in particular, on experimentation with Polaroid materials and the languages of instant imagery. His works have been exhibited in over 50 exhibitions across Europe and the United States and are part of the Polaroid Collection of WestLicht (Vienna) and in the archive of the Fondazione Alinari per la Storia della Fotografia (Florence).

Work belonging to the artist's research on the relationship between image and language, in which the insertion of external elements alters and redef ines the reading of the photographic image. The overlap between sacred iconography and material intervention introduces a tension between truth and construction, triggering a visual and semantic short circuit.
