A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, retains its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to experience with lightness.

The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What from afar appears familiar becomes more distant up close, almost inaccessible. This creates a direct contrast between what we know and what we see.

The work plays precisely on this tension: on one hand it attracts, on the other it keeps at a distance. Thus, a childhood image is reread in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring.

Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, through studies in Geometer and Architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture craftsman. There arose an ever-stronger need to find himself and unleash his creativity.
