Biography
Draughtsman and etcher working in Lyon, mostly in landscapes. Very popular in his lifetime, with wide sale in Paris and Germany.
A fairly complete collection in the BM (1853,0312.349 to 445) is from the 1823 restrikes on dead white paper; there are also earlier impressions of many plates. An album of 116 plates compiled in 1806 is in the Fitzwilliam.
