Tere Ormazabal, born in Bilbao, Spain.
Photographic artist with an extensive career in creation, teaching and institutional collaboration.
Holding a degree in Geography and History from UPV-EHU, she has developed work focused on artistic photography and on alternative techniques such as cyanotype, Van Dyke brown, liquid emulsion, lithographic film and image transfers both polaroid and digital emulsion transfer.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and cultural centers of the Basque Country since the late 1990s and has received national photography awards.

Series Anonymous Presence

This series arises from my experience as a multiple myeloma patient and from my passion for photography. My self-portraits explore vulnerability, transformation and resilience in the face of the disease, showing an inner process that is not always externally visible. The series aims to offer a different look at cancer, convey authenticity and remind that there is beauty in vulnerability.
