This is a vase bearing the inscription "Dai Nippon Sentoku Nen 大日本宣徳年" (Great Japan, Sentoku Era).
The decoration features the traditional Taotie motif, an ancient Chinese design commonly seen on ritual bronzes.
The Taotie represents a mythical creature associated with power, protection, and the warding off of evil.
Its distinctive symmetrical face-like pattern symbolizes strength and spiritual authority, making it both decorative and meaningful.
